Migration Watch UK responds to Illegal Migration Bill amendments to:

• Prevent the application of Rule 39
• Disapply Sections 4, 6 and 10 of the Human Rights Act
• Imposing a statutory block on interim relief
• To impose a statutory block on returns

Alp Mehmet, Chairman of Migration Watch UK said:

At last, some sensible proposals which point towards an asylum system focussed on those in genuine need.

For too long our borders have been severely undermined by criminal gangs encouraged by a few UK lawyers exploiting our amazingly weak legislation.
