Migration Watch UK comment on ONS net migration statistics

August 24, 2017

Commenting on today's ONS net migration statistics, Lord Green of Deddington, Chairman of Migration Watch UK, said:

This is a step forward but it is largely good fortune. It is mainly due to a reduction in the huge net inflow of East Europeans from 100,000 to 50,000. This should not obscure the fact that migration remains at an unacceptable level of a quarter of a million a year with massive implications for the scale and nature of our society.
