Population Explosion Could Hit Uk

An online petition urging curbs on immigration could be debated in Parliament in early 2012. MigrationWatchUK’s e-petition wants the Government to stop the nation’s population going over 70 million.

Recent official projections suggested the number of people living in the UK is set to rise from 62.3 million last year to 70 million within 16 years. The government says “sweeping changes” are in place to reduce net migration.
