Migrationwatch challenged the conclusions of a British Council paper on foreign students. An important source for their paper was an Australian report by Michael Knight. We have examined that report in detail and find that its conclusions were very different from the impression given by the British Council. Our summary makes this clear with the key quotations in bold. The report’s 41 recommendations were accepted in their entirety. Many would be relevant, suitably adjusted,to the UK.
