Commenting on today’s immigration statistics Sir Andrew Green, Chairman of Migration Watch UK, said: “Government policy is succeeding in bringing down non-EU migration but they have been blown off course by a sharp increase of 66,000 migrants from the EU. EU migrants now comprise nearly half of foreign net migration.

The Office for National Statistics has today released its quarterly Labour Market Statistics which show that the number of Romanians and Bulgarians working in the UK in the period October-December 2013 was estimated to be 144,000.
