Say NO to the government\u2019s Channel crossings cover-up<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are\u00a0only weeks into the new year and already\u00a0nearly 1000 people<\/a>\u00a0have\u00a0come to Britain\u00a0illegally\u00a0in boats.\u00a0This is a\u00a0continuing and growing\u00a0scandal\u00a0that is simply not being addressed.\u00a0There has of course been the usual\u00a0hype about\u00a0the\u00a0military\u00a0tackling the problem\u00a0or using countries like Ghana\u00a0(where\u00a0all knowledge\u00a0of discussions with the UK government\u00a0were denied)\u00a0or Rwanda for offshore processing.\u00a0And we have of course\u00a0heard\u00a0it all before.\u00a0If secret talks have been going on,\u00a0great.\u00a0But if\u00a0they haven\u2019t and\u00a0the government\u00a0has been\u00a0playing games,\u00a0the\u00a0opprobrium\u00a0that will come their\u00a0way will be richly\u00a0deserved.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0other jaw-dropping bit of news\u00a0was that the\u00a0Home Office is\u00a0reportedly\u00a0planning\u00a0to ditch the publication of daily figures showing the number of migrants crossing the Channel.\u00a0To\u00a0put it charitably,\u00a0the\u00a0government\u00a0seems\u00a0intent on\u00a0cancelling\u00a0itself.\u00a0Looking at\u00a0it\u00a0more cynically, this smacks of the North Korean approach to public information.\u00a0How dare they try to keep from us evidence of their\u00a0incompetence and ineffectiveness?\u00a0Our\u00a0Channel Tracker<\/a>\u00a0shows that the number\u00a0of\u00a0reported crossings\u00a0by\u00a0boats rocketed by\u00a0an eye-watering\u00a095 times between 2018 and\u00a0the end of\u00a02021.\u00a0This is just an attempt to cover up the truth.\u00a0Click\u00a0here<\/a>\u00a0to write to your MP\u00a0and make them aware of your disgust.\u00a0The British people will not tolerate censorship.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Population Growth and Replacement: Government Body Says 12 Million Immigrants Expected Over Next Twenty Years<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we noted last week, Britain\u2019s population is set to\u00a0shoot past\u00a070 million in coming years.\u00a0The additional\u00a0millions\u00a0that the Office for National Statistics projects\u00a0will come and stay\u00a0over\u00a0the next\u00a0twenty years\u00a0will be almost entirely driven by immigration, itself\u00a0fed by\u00a0policies that\u00a0favour\u00a0big companies\u00a0and\u00a0which\u00a0suck in masses of cheaper workers.\u00a0Recent\u00a0ONS\u00a0projections estimate\u00a0that 12 million\u00a0migrants are set to come here by 2041,\u00a0while\u00a0seven million people\u00a0are expected to go in the other direction.\u00a0By 2041,\u00a0natural population change will be minus over a million\u00a0but\u00a0total net immigration\u00a0is expected to be\u00a0between four and five million\u00a0by 2041.\u00a0England is already the most crowded nation in Europe. GB News: Alp speaks to Nigel Farage about the government\u2019s plan to stop publishing daily Channel migrants arrival figures<\/a> (see the interview from 28 minutes, 41 seconds in).  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alp Mehmet, chairman of Migration Watch UK, described the decision as ‘absolute nonsense and undemocratic’, adding:\u00a0‘I cannot believe it. I thought “who is advising her [Patel] to do this?”.\u00a0‘It is utter nonsense. People are not going to stand back and wait for the figures to be issued. It is all going to come out anyway. It is presumably because they don’t like the flack when large numbers come in.\u00a0This is absolutely insane and undemocratic. The numbers are clearly going up. My assumption is that the figures will be going up and will continue to go up.’\u00a0<\/em>

Alp also discussed\u00a0this with Mike Graham\u00a0on Talk Radio<\/a>, and his comments to Mr Farage were reported\u00a0in the Mail Online<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018I\u2019m pleased that No. 10, who\u2019ve really stood back up until now, I\u2019m pleased that they are showing some interest. \u2018The 2021 number was treble that of the year before. If there is another tripling this year of the 2021 figure then the number who cross illegally by the end of the year could well exceed 65,000. As things stand, there is little to inspire confidence in the government\u2019s ability to stem the flow of illegal crossings. The people smugglers, who are making millions of pounds from their burgeoning illicit trade, know they are onto a winner and will milk it till the cows come home.\u2019 <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If this week tells us anything, in politics no one and no party is beyond accountability. Among\u00a0the\u00a0many other ways in which\u00a0this government has been economical with the truth, immigration policy stands out. While promising to \u2018take back control\u2019 our leaders have presided over a\u00a0set of policies that could see us open up our borders to millions of new workers from around the world with\u00a0no limits.\u00a0As our blog\u00a0explains<\/a>,\u00a0citizens in 80% of all countries now find it easier to come here\u00a0to work.\u00a0A crucial cap has been abandoned, companies\u00a0are\u00a0no longer required to\u00a0prioritise\u00a0workers at home and skills and education thresholds have been\u00a0significantly\u00a0lowered. All this coupled with\u00a0mounting\u00a0chaos\u00a0in the\u00a0Channel, and an overwhelmed and abused asylum system.
