Sir, The prediction that, by 2026, the average home in England<\/a>
\nwill cost ten times average earnings is based on demand outstripping
\nsupply. Components of this demand include the increase in the number of
\nadults, pensioners and single households. But the largest element of
\ndemand is immigration, which will account for one new household in
\nthree. We cannot continue to turn a blind eye to the only factor over
